Abstract
- Calogaya schistidii (syn. Caloplaca schistidii, Fulgensia schistidii) looks much like a Caloplaca growing on bryophytes over calcareous rock in arctic and alpine habitats but has unusual, 2-celled, non-polarilocular spores, slightly constricted at the middle. This is the first report of the species for North America. The material from British Columbia is described and illustrated, and comments are made on its classification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
