Abstract

Chromatographic separation of paracetamol, aceclofenac and tramadol hydrochloride was performed on a Chromatopak C-18 column (25 cm x 4.6mm i.d. x 5pm) as stationary phase with a mobile phase composed of phosphate buffer pH 7.0: acetonitrile (65:35 V/V), pH 7.0 (adjusted with triethylamine) at a flow rate of ImL/min. Detection was carried out at 265 nm. The retention times of paracetamol, aceclofenac and Tramadol hydrochloride were found to be 2.7, 4.5 and 6.0 min, respectively. The proposed mefhod was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD and LOQ. The method was found to be accurate, precise, specific, robust and linear for the determination of paracetamol, aceclofenac and tramadol hydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosage form.
