Abstract

In this Trace, the authors provide a strong introduction to the deep and detailed questions involved these contemporary applications of Cold War research (see Aalbers & Teo, 2017; Lifton, 2011; Shane, 2008). The authors have constructed a broad, wide-reaching, and engaging research tool that can serve as a strong introduction to the broad impacts of Cold War research and inform scholars who are already deep in these questions. In this comprehensive web resource, Cold War scholars Sharon Ullman (Department of History, Bryn Mar College), Juergen Martschukat (Department of History, Erfurt University), and Olaf Stieglitz (Department of History, University of Cologne) along with their students, evaluate historical and contemporary consequences of Cold War brainwashing across nine topic areas.
