Abstract

Integrating aspatial and spatial data to improve visitor management: Pairing visitor questionnaires with multiple spatial methodologies in Grand Teton National Park, WY, USA. Read, Daniels, and Harmon introduced an innovative visitor counting method in their methodological study that used 3D counters to count visitor numbers in the Korean War Veterans Memorial (KOWA). Aspatial data and spatial data were combined to examine visitor use and experience in the String and Leigh Lake (SLL) area of Grand Teton National Park by D' Antonio and associates. Findings of this study are useful for park managers to ensure spatial compliance and to factor air travel noise into the overall planning and management of park resources and visitor experiences.
