Abstract: The article informs that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) have departed from precedent to support the deregulation of the U.S. waterways in the repeal of the 2015 Clean Water Rule (CWR) and its replacement with the 2020 Navigable Waters Protection Rule (NWPR). It mentions about the decentralization of environmental policy; and mentions that former U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has repealed and replaced the CWR.
