Abstract: The author discusses a study by S. A. Shabtaie and colleagues which provided a review on the outcome results of a series of consecutive patients with inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST) referred to the authors' center between 1998 and 2018. Topics include symptoms in patients with IST, mechanisms that are potentially responsible for increased heart rate in patients with IST, and therapies that have been investigated for the treatment of IST.
