Abstract

The article presents information on correcting astigmatism with toric soft contact lenses (TCLs). Toric soft contact lenses are available with typical cylinder powers beginning at 0.75D or 1.00D, depending upon the manufacturer and their product parameter availabilities. TSCLs have some design feature to orient the axis of the correcting cylinder in the proper position while the lens is worn on the eye. After a lens is empirically selected, evaluation on the eye occurs at the initial fitting visit or at the patient's appointment. INSET: Fitting Tips.
