Abstract

The article presents a study which identified a cell-autonomous selective Kv4 channelopathy in dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus (DMV) neurons. Topics discussed include α-Synuclein as an established causal driver of Parkinson's disease, effect of selective induction of α-synucleinopathy in vagal motoneurons of adult mice on vagal output and GI motility, and fluorescence microscopy and cell size analysis.
