Abstract

The article focuses on history of Yahi Tribe of California and Yana sought included obsidian-tipped arrows, buckskin, woodpecker scalps, and clam disk beads. It mentions culture was stripped away and they were forced to convert to Catholicism and Spanish rule of Californian land from 1769 to 1834, forcibly removed entire native tribes from their lands. It also mentions state-sponsored military force combed native homelands and tribes not moved to a reservation.
