Abstract

Plasmid mediated colistin resistance was absent; mutations in mgrB, phoP and phoQ were predominant cause of colistin resistance. Susceptible ST23 hvKp carried only the virulence plasmid while MDR ST23 isolates carried 6 plasmids with resistance genes apart from virulence plasmid.
