Objective: To explore the method, experience and effect of psychotherapy for patient with synthet ic cannabis addiction. Methods: Based on early rehabilitation skills training, relapse prevention and family therapy in Matrix outpatient intensive intervention, 16 sessions were conducted in 8 weeks to the adolescent patient The urine drug test result, self-reporting and family observation was used to evaluate abstinence duration before and after treat ment. And Cogstate test battery was used to evaluate the change of patient's cognitive function before and after treatment. Results: The patient maintained in abstinence for 8 months after treatment. The accuracy of Cogstate tasks, including verbal learning and memory, spatial problem-solving and error monitoring, working memory and spatial working memory improved, and the number of error decreased after treatment. Conclusion: The Matrix out patient intensive model may contribute to the recovery of patient with synthetic cannabis addiction, which could pro mote cognitive function recovery and maintain abstinence.
