Abstract

In both types of rabbits were studied the vertebral formula were C7, Th12, L6, Sa5, Cd15. Hare have a longer total length and body length of all segments of the vertebral column than that of domesticated rabbit, The cervical vertebra in hare have a longer and greater diameter of the vertebral canal, Atlas and axis were largest. The height of the spinous process was increased when directed caudally to be at the highest level, the height of the spinous process of the thoracic vertebra in Hare remained higher than that of domestic rabbit. hare have a haemal process in the ventral aspect of the lumbar vertebra body. The spinous process in the sacrum of the hare is directed caudally rather than that of the domesticated rabbit. The Hare's ribs are longer than that of a domestic rabbit. Sternum consist of six segments, the length of the sternum in hare longer than that of the domesticated rabbit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
