Abstract

This work analyzes the influence of texturized macrorelief on hydrodynamic properties of functional surfaces as exemplified by canonical region of plate type. Experimental verification and quantitative estimation of error of calculation model of the considered canonical region were obtained using FlowVision software. Grid viscosity was analyzed. 3D model of canonical region of plate type was developed on the basis of variations of geometry of texturized macrorelief in the area of inlet edge, parametrical studies were performed on its basis. Flow conditions of the presented variants of canonical region were considered being characterized by the attack angles from - 3° to 3°. Specific resistance force and specific lift force were determined as a function of geometrical parameters of texturized macrorelief. Recommendations have been given for modification of functional surfaces as well as predictions of energy effect of application of texturized macrorelief in hydraulic machines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
