Abstract

B, Frequency and C, annual prevalence of coexisting non-TB mycobacterium infection in patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis stratified by sex, 2012-2016. D, Number of outpatient clinic visits and E, medical costs between bronchiectasis patients with non-TB mycobacterium infection and those patients without non-TB mycobacterium infection. To the Editor: Epidemiologic research has shown that the prevalence and incidence of non-cystic fibrosis (CF) bronchiectasis are gradually increasing.[1] SP , sp [2] Recent epidemiologic data also revealed that the prevalence and incidence of non-tuberculous mycobacterium (NTM) infection increased rapidly from 2003 to 2016.[3] However, data regarding NTM infection in patients with non-CF bronchiectasis are relatively insufficient.
