Abstract

The expediency of using a sunflower as an alternative raw material for the cellulose and paper industry and peroxyacetic acid as a cooking solution of a plant material is substantiated. The catalytic action of Na2WO4, Na2MoO4 and TiO2 on the process of delignification of sunflower stalks with hydrogen peroxide in the acetic acid was studied. The resulting peracetic cellulose with sodium tungstate has high quality indices. The indices of the lignin extraction selectivity by per oxoacetic delignification of sunflower stalks are calculated. The paper-making properties of the organic solvent cellulose from sunflower stalks are determined. The possible usage in the production of packaging paper has been evaluated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
