Drawing from Freund's work in The Essence of Politics, this article explains the contradictory relationship established between the political utopias proposed by some philosophies, and the political action itself subject to the invariable aspects of the political. Thus, by analyzing the connection between philosophy and politics, it illustrates how political judgements belong to the realm of opinion rather than that of epistemology.
