Abstract
- A small transformer consisting of two sections for real load impedances is proposed. The characteristic impedances and their electrical lengths for two sections are derived in closed form. From the newly derived design equations, once two real terminal loads are determined, the electrical lengths of two sections can be selected arbitrary, and then their characteristic impedances are calculated automatically. Furthermore, when electrical lengths for both sections are exchanged, the same S‐parameters can be derived, and this is called symmetry property in this Letter, and this property proved that: there are two different group design parameters with the same performance under the same conditions. In experiments, one circuit was fabricated. The experimental results showed good agreement with theoretical results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
