Hegel, focusing particularly on his assertions regarding the end of art and the death of God in works including "Phenomenology of Spirit," "Encyclopedia Logic," and his "Lectures on Aesthetics" contained in his "Werke." Topics include Romanticism and Romantic irony, Hegel's responses to the art criticism of Friedrich Schlegel, and dialectics.
