Abstract

One of the current difficulties of the urban environment is the transport problem, which results from limited geographical spaces and in some cases highly complex congestion, where urban roads and roads are fully utilized. This limitation leads to an increase in transport costs. For this reason, solutions that allow companies to plan and optimize resources, in addition to enabling a more adherent positioning to the market, are necessary for competitiveness. In the present work, unlike the solutions of classic problems in the literature, the presented proposal can be adapted to different contexts and situations, allowing a configuration according to the company profile. In addition, as part of this proposal to solve the transport problem, a parameterizable algorithm elaborated in the LINGO solver is displayed. The prominent advantages of this solution are technical and operational, which help plan the optimization of resources, effort and decision making in small businesses. These arguments are pointed out by managers of the research unit, due to less time consuming and investment disbursement, which, according to their opinion, presents itself as a more efficient solution compared to numerical methods and know-how.
