Abstract

Our contribution has as analysis purpose the communication between two lovers in the Folies, two fragments from the 12th century belonging to the French paradigm of the Tristanian legend, notably the speech of Tristan, who, while condemned to exile by his uncle, King Mark, returns to the court, disguised as a madman, to see Iseult. This analysis notes that the discursive stalemate is due to the negative emotions that Tristan feels in front of the queen. In turn, this discursive stalemate irreparably harms love, since the lover disguised as a madman is overwhelmed by a constant, even paradoxical pain, knowing it is his lover who lost her memory.
