ORDENAMENTO TERRITORIAL DE AMBIENTES COSTEIROS: REFLEXÕES A PARTIR DE SERGIPE - BRASIL.

The purpose of this text is to contribute to the discussion regarding the coast planning and managment, considering the theoretical discussion and the empirical references from Sergipe - Brazil. In methodological terms, the work was based on a review of the literature on the coast and more specifically on the Sergipe coast and its prospects for spatial planning. Interviews were also carried out with municipal managers in order to obtain information about the actions, plans and programs incident in the coastal zone of Sergipe. The elaboration of synthesis maps and figures also deserve to be highlighted in order to illustrate the ideas exposed here. In the last three decades, the Sergipe coast became a territory where the intensification of land uses and the various forms of occupation is quite accentuated and disordered. In this sense, one can advocate for a territorial crisis on the Sergipe coast. If we consider the high degrees of vulnerability presented by the ecosystems that make up coastal environments in Sergipe, we will be able to understand more clearly the urgency and timeliness of Integrated Coastal Zone Management programs.
