Contra Costa County Library adopts first long-range plan.

This article reports on the adoption of a formal long-range plan of the 75-year history of the Board of Supervisors of the Contra Costa County Library in California as a means of dealing with the difficulties of funding while maintaining all library services. Highlighted in the plan are what the board feels are the central functions of the library. It is hoped that this planning process will be able to be repeated in future three-year planning cycles.
