Abstract
- Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have received extensive attention, relying on the characteristic of porosity, high specific surface area and modifiability. Its semiconductor characteristics make it focus in the field of photocatalysis. Based on the classification of modification methods, this article summarized the recent researches on MOFs in the field of photocatalysis, including inner confinement metal nanoparticles, semiconductor composites and MOFs derivatives. The first two modifications aim to reduce the recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes by transferring them. The latter removes the partial ligand by calcination and retain the porous structure framework of MOFs, which improve the chemical stability of MOFs. Such MOF-based photocatalysts have been used in the fields of environmental pollution control and energy sustainable development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
