Geriatric medicine in China: an old but emerging subspecialty.

The authors reflect on geriatric medicine in China as of January 2021. Other topics include the strategic health policies of the Chinese government to address health and social challenges of population ageing like the "Healthy China 2030" policy, the promotion of specialised geriatric care and ageing research, and the researches' focus on the epidemiology and management of common chronic diseases and geriatric syndromes.
