In Chapters 7-10, which focus on long-term sea level change, Dawson clearly demonstrates how the melting of Earth's last great ice sheets is still making an important contribution to the present patterns of sea level change. This introduction to sea level change might not answer every question we could ask, but it is a superb overview that gives a balanced account of the current understanding of the complexities of sea level change.
