Abstract

The article focuses on the decision of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in the case Commonwealth v. Mora wherein Court held that the nonstop video surveillance of a home for an extended period of time was a "search" requiring a warrant. It mentions Fourth Amendment, which has come to regulate police actions and individual privacy rights. It also mentions court deepened privacy protections for poor people and people of color by refusing to link one's expectation of privacy.
