We seek to describe the arrival of Sars-CoV-2 in the state of Amazonas, present the public policies employed during this arrival and analyze the results of this relationship between the virus and the actions of the state. Therefore, we seek to support in public documents, with attention to the official data released on epidemiological bulletins and normative documents drawn up by the state and federal governments. Thus, it was possible to identify the main weaknesses of the policies employed that led to a rapid expansion and internalization of the disease in the state of Amazonas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
