Abstract
- The method of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to study the adsorption of an IFKhAN-92 inhibitor, 3-substituted 1,2,4-triazole, on low-carbon steel from 2.0 M H2SO4 (22°C). It was shown that the Temkin isotherm with a relatively high value of free energy of adsorption (−ΔGads) = 49 kJ/mol described its adsorption. It was suggested that the inhibitor adsorption has a chemisorption nature, which is testified both by the description of the kinetics of adsorption by the Roginsky–Zeldovich equation and a high protective aftereffect of the inhibitor adsorbed on the steel surface.
