Abstract
- The article discusses the importance of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems to help reduce COVID-19 risk in library buildings. The variables regulated by the mechanical systems to improve indoor air quality include ventilation, filtration and temperature and humidity control. Strategies for virus control include the use of needlepoint bipolar ionization and ultraviolet germicidal irradiation.
