Abstract

Determinants of health in Nepal include access to care, safe food, clean water, mid current technologies in healthcare. Women's health is further affected by the caste system, marriage, domestic and economical violence, and limited education. During pregnancy, stress can have a negative impact on mother and baby's wellbeing. Resilience can strengthen the woman's ability to achieve a healthy pregnancy. The purpose Of this article is to examine resilience in Nepalese women during pregnancy. Much is known on the risks borne by Nepalese childbearing woman; however, minimal data exist on the resilience Of these women toward managing the stressors in pregnancy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
