Abstract

Social Interaction, Second-Person-Perspective and Bodily Knowledge Psychotherapy is an intersubjective event. In most cases, intersubjectivity is defined in such a way that every feeling, thought and action of every person present is always integrated into the context of the behaviour of the others and thus not independent of their behaviour. Intersubjectivity, however, goes beyond the determination of the participation of two or more subjects in shaping the situation. Phenomena such as the "in-between" and the interaction between the subjects have to be conceptualized, and the means and methods they rely on to regulate their mutual behavior must be described as well as the role their bodily behavior and the associated "intercorporeality" play in this. What practical-therapeutic consequences this may have for psychotherapy – whether in individual settings or in groups – can hardly be assessed at present. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
