Abstract

This article aims to understand the use of the WhatsApp application as a pedagogical resource in Portuguese language classes in high school. To achieve this goal, a qualitative research of bibliographic character was adopted, in which approaches that defend the applicability of this web interface in the process of teaching and learning the Portuguese language were explored. Therefore, it is based on authors such as Kenski (2011), Oliveira (2010), Antunes (2007) and Moran (2000). The study in question shows that the teacher should use this resource to his advantage and seek to work with activities that involve him, providing students with moments of interaction and dialogue.
