Along with developing technology, traditional forms of narration that exist are replaced with new forms of them. These new instruments are new cultural areas for the communities using them. These are also from the new environments of performance for both oral culture and written culture with the TV content and audience. The forms get localized along with the contents of the TV broadcasting in every country. Processed topics on TV series broadcasted are created through local materials. This attitude aims to reach audience. We face with the position in which reader/audience gets individualized in both comic magazines and text based Western-style theater technics as the products of written period when people utilized folk theater as a material reflecting oral culture, which is one of traditional forms of narration, in urban life. In electronic age, the listener/audience attitude of the radio-cinema-television culture contains similarities in terms of the conception of audience in folk theater. In this paper, we prove that the audiences of traditional folk theater and ‘Bir Demet Tiyatro’ TV series have a connection. ‘Bir Demet Tiyatro’ as a play was broadcasted with a different name called ‘MTV-Meclis TV’ on Star TV on a New Year’s Eve for the first time. Later it continued to be broadcasted on TV for eight seasons with spaces by getting transformed into TV series. Yılmaz Erdoğan wrote the TV series in which the events Çıtır family and the people around it in the neighborhood have been through are showed and explained. In the paper which aims to show the differences and similarities between traditional folk theater and this TV series in terms of the sense of audience, we share some information about the audience profiles of these two things. We also try to explain the influence of the audience on the play. Finally we try to indicate how this audience as a community gives meaning to the TV series on the internet all over again.
