β‐catenin signatures in the fallopian tube: an emerging concept.

Since the realisation that most "ovarian" high-grade serous carcinomas (HGSC) arise from precancers and early cancers in the fallopian tube fimbria, much work has been devoted during the past two decades to the spectrum of tubal I TP53 i mutant lesions. Since the introduction of the SEE-FIM protocol for examining fallopian tubes more than 10 years ago and the concomitant increase in prophylactic and opportunistic salpingectomies, fallopian tubes are routinely undergoing far more scrutiny by pathologists than previously.
