- Discusses albumin, the major component of proteinuria, well recognized as a marker of renal diseases, particularly glomerular diseases. Capability of albumin uptake to activate various signal transduction cascades in proximal tubule cells; Activation of the intracellular signaling initiated by albumin enocytosis.
