A complex and unstable clinical case that we have retrospectively heard from the patient and medical practitioners illustrates the intertwined and contradictory temporal movements that govern the different steps required to establish a diagnosis and treatment in fetal medicine. This temporality depends on the complexity and evolution of pathology, medical deadlines and imperatives, parental adherence to the proposed strategies and is modulated by the cohesion of the couple and families, the particularities of their sociocultural affiliations, the notion of anticipation and trust, and the personal time necessary for their understanding and reconstruction.
