Abstract

In recent days, the selection of steel in construction is challenging task and also prediction of the properties of the steel is difficult. This article is discussed with the performance on advanced High yield strength Deformed (HYSD) Steel. It is one of the high carbon-based steel which has more strength and it is used in structural andconstruction applications. In this investigation, three specimens with different composition (3%, 5% and 7% of SiC) are fabricated through stir casting process. The various material properties and tests are conducted by different load condition and composition of silicon carbides (SiC). To achieve the better material properties, a mixture of alloys such as chromium, vanadium, silicon, carbides and manganese are included. The composition levels are also changed. The wear properties, measurement of deflection and strain are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
