Erzurum Kenti Mekânsal Gelişimi ve Bu Gelişimi Belirleyen Etmenlere İlişkin Bir Çözümleme.

This study includes comprehensive research on the growth of the city of Erzurum in the dimensions of time and space. İt is aimed to conduct a relational study on the spatial and historical growth of the city of Erzurum after the year of 1950. In this context, it is tried to reveal how the city's macroform is formed regarding geographic, historical and planning aspects. The research is supported by spatial analysis carried on through the aerial photographs, as well as the relevant literature. The context of the research, in the case of the city of Erzurum, is to introduce a reference study on the subject of the analysis of spatial dynamics of a city's macroform that composed within the context of the expansion of the city, it's internal organization, and planning dimension. The main findings of the study; particularly the expansion direction and size of the city, the distribution of urban functions, and the formation of new residential areas have a significant influence in reaching the present form of the city.
