Abstract

The article discusses thermal inertia and surface roughness have proxies for the physical characteristics of planetary surfaces. Topics include temperature changes in response to time-varying illumination conditions have used to determine the physical properties of the surfaces of planetary bodies; and a tentative correlation between albedo and thermal inertia of C-complex NEAs has due to relative abundances of boulder types.
