Abstract

The article discusses the similarities and differences between Buddhist philosopher Srigupta and German philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz in their understanding of being and unity. Topics covered include how both philosophers embrace a metaphysical principle linking being and unity, Leibniz's argument in favor of a kind of idealist foundationalism, and Srigupta's argument for a rejection of full-blooded existence altogether.
