Abstract

The article offers tips for school leaders to ensure students are making the most of their financial education. It mentions economic education in K-12 standards, 22 percent of U.S. teens tested in 2015 did not reach the baseline level of proficiency in financial literacy. It also mentions effectiveness of economics and personal and Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) tested 15-year-olds on their financial literacy.
