Abstract
- The article discusses whether teachers' popularity among their students results in better learning and enhanced wellbeing. Also cited are the studies in the U.S. and Germany showing that teachers' popularity results in higher grades and levels of effort and persistence by students, the research showing good student-teacher relationships led to better student academic motivation, engagement, and achievement.
