Abstract

The article analyzes issues associated with assigning letter or numeric grades to students in education even when schools are shuttered amid the coronavirus outbreak. Topics discussed include advantages and disadvantages of product-based grading practices, common pitfalls to grading student work and suggestions for improvement on the basis of process-based, equitable best practices.
