Abstract
- This article focuses on news items published in various newspapers in Great Britain. Yet again it was an education story that dominated the headlines this week and yet again it was a bad news day for the Government. "Blow for Blair As Morris Quits" was the main front page headline in the "Financial Times," whose chief political correspondent Cathy Newman reported that the resignation of Estelle Morris after 16 months in the job is a blow to the Government's education reforms. The newspaper "Daily Mirror" gave a quarter of its front page to the story of Morris. The T2 second section of "The Times" pointed the finger at MMR vaccination. It observed that autism in children under eight years has increased tenfold since 1988.
