Abstract

The seismic wave input method based on artificial boundary substructure is clear in theory, but a large number of time history data on nodes need to be read and write, so there may exist some problems for researchers to use it directly in finite element software. The related theoretical methods are briefly introduced, the detailed ideas and implementation steps of the seismic wave input method based on artificial boundary substructures and the setting of viscoelastic artificial boundary elements in ABAQUS are presented. For viscoelastic artificial boundary elements, a method for uniform operation of equivalent physical parameters and boundary element sizes in the view interface is introduced, which is convenient and efficient. For the seismic wave input method of the artificial boundary substructure, a method of rewriting the INP files with self-written Python programs, and automatically reading and writing a large number of time history data on nodes is also introduced. Method in this paper is easy to operate and rare to make mistakes. It can quickly read the field displacement data, which is loaded on the nodes of artificial boundary substructure, also quickly read the reaction force data, which is loaded on the soil-structure dynamic interaction model as the equivalent seismic load input. The method in this paper greatly improves the pre-processing efficiency of seismic wave input, it can be widely used in the actual calculation process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
