Abstract

This work explores in general the importance of Viral Ecology as a discipline will allow the viral influence on ecosystems. This topic of Virology analyzes the relationship between abiotic and biotic variables that have an effect on the presence in time and in space of the viruses, mechanisms of adaptation and resistance, virulence and replication in susceptible hosts. It states how the breaking between them due to economic, social, biological and mainly anthropogenic factors contribute to appearance of emergent infection diseases. It is accentuated the importance of zoonotic viral disease with RNA genome, especially arbovirosis, and the circulation of some of them in Cuba. Here, it remarks the necessity of trans-disciplinary approach, as successful key in the prevention and control of these diseases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
