Abstract

Two new mixed-ligand coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of {[Zn3(nbta)2(bpfp)2(H2O)2](H2O)2}n (1, H3nbta = 5-nitro-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, bpfp = bis(4-pyridylformyl)piperazine) and {[Cd3(nbta)1.5(bib)2(H2O)](H2O)}n (2, bib= 4,4'-bis((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)−1,1'-biphenyl) have been successfully synthesized by the solvothermal reaction of 5-nitro-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, and different N-donor co-ligand. All compounds were adequately characterized, and their structures were verified by single-crystal X-ray diffraction along with the elemental analysis. Furthermore, the treatment effect of compounds 1 and 2 on the acute adnexitis was evaluated in the biological study. Firstly, the RT-PCR was performed to detect the inhibitory effect of the compounds on the survival gene in the Staphylococcus aureus-fitZ. Then, the ELISA was conducted to measure the release level of the inflammatory cytokines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
