Abstract
- The4 article comments on the avoidable-consequences doctrine in tort law when intermingled with religion in the U.S. It mentions that under the common-law doctrine of avoidable consequences, plaintiffs must take reasonable steps to mitigate their damages from a contract breach or tort if they desire full reimbursement for their injuries. It also mentions that First Amendment to U.S. Constitution's religion clauses.
