Risks associated with online alcohol sales and delivery With online sales and home delivery likely to continue to make up a considerable portion of the alcohol market in Australia for at least the next 3-6 months, it is worth considering the specific issues associated with this mode of alcohol supply. In a recent survey, one in five on-demand alcohol delivery service users reported that their motivation for using the service was because they were over the blood alcohol limit to drive, and 36% said that they would have had to stop drinking alcohol if the delivery service was not available [26].
