Abstract: Analyzes the 1982, 1984, 1989 and 1994 National Long term Care Survey (NLTCS) to identify the dimensions of chronic disability from multivariate analyses of measures of the ability to perform specific activities. Evaluation of the rate of age-related losses of specific functions; Dimensions describing the changes in the age dependence of activities of daily living; Correlation between disability declines and reductions in select health conditions.
